Is the festival dog friendly?

Yes, well-behaved pups on leash are welcome at the festival’s outdoor spaces. New this year: DOGS NEED A MINUTE, a quiet, air-conditioned lounge for overwhelmed Oaktoberfest dogs. Sometimes beer, bands, crowds and several thousand new best friends can be…a lot. DOGS NEED A MINUTE, hosted by California’s top pet photography studio, Shershow Studios (3436 Dimond Ave), is a free, quiet, air-conditioned lounge where dogs and their people can step away from the festival for a bit, cool down and regroup. Just 50 feet off MacArthur, you’ll find dog beds, fresh water for dogs and humans, calming music composed especially for dogs, and—most importantly—not much happening at all. Stay for 10–20 minutes, take a load off, and head back to the party when everyone’s ready. Humans must be accompanied by a dog for entry. No exceptions.

If i don’t buy a drink package online, can i get drinks at the festival?

Yes, you can purchase drink packages at the festival, but you save money by buying them in advance. You also are guaranteed a commemorative festival stein if you buy packages in advance.

Will the dining hall reserved seating sell out?

Last year we did sell out. We recommend making a reservation for the Bavarian Dining Hall (German platters are optional) if you are interested in enjoying that experience at the event.

Can we get a table for 2?

Yes, it’s called a table for 5. Let us know when you are seated and we can remove 3 chairs.

I want to reserve a table for an extended time…

If you want seating for a longer duration, you have to place multiple orders (a new order for each additional time block reservation). Unfortunately, the Eventbrite platform only allows 1 time block reservation per order. We realize when you go to add another time block, someone may have already reserved that table at that time. Pick the next closest table and we will work our digital magic to avoid you having to physically relocate. Unless you're into musical tables, then we'll ride with you. Thank you for your understanding.

What do I do when I arrive to be seated?

Present your ticket/reservation at the check-in booth at the corner of Dimond Ave and Bienati Way where you will then be shown to your table. All items ordered will be brought to your table shortly after seating.
